The word “Gospel” means “Good News”—and it truly is the best news anyone can hear.
God: Our Creator and King
God has always existed. He created everything—including us. He is holy, just, loving, and full of mercy. God made people in His image so we could live in close relationship with Him, reflecting His goodness and character (Genesis 1–2).
But God isn’t just loving—He’s also just. That means He always does what is right. Because of that, He cannot ignore sin (Romans 3:26). He loves us deeply, but He also holds us accountable.
Mankind: Our Problem Is Sin
When God created people, we were without sin. But we chose to disobey God (Genesis 3), and sin broke our relationship with Him.
The Bible says, “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23) and that “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). That means our sin separates us from God now and forever.
Jesus: Our Only Hope
God didn’t leave us in our brokenness. Out of love, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to rescue us.
Jesus lived a perfect life—without sin. He died on the cross in our place, taking the punishment we deserved (2 Corinthians 5:21). Then He rose from the dead, proving His power over sin and death (Romans 5:8).
Our Response: Trust and Turn
To be forgiven and made right with God, we must respond to what Jesus has done. The Bible says to repent and believe (Mark 1:15).
Repent means to turn away from sin and turn toward God.
Believe means to put your full trust in Jesus—who He is and what He has done.
Romans 10:9 says:
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
This isn’t about saying the perfect words. It’s about trusting Jesus with your whole heart.
You Can Respond Right Now
If you’re ready to follow Jesus, you don’t have to wait. You can talk to God in prayer right now:
“Jesus, I know I’ve sinned and I need You. I believe You died for me and rose again. I trust You to forgive me and make me new. My life belongs to You. Help me follow You from this day forward.”
If you prayed that—or if you want to talk more about what it means to follow Jesus—we’d love to hear from you.
